Alice is passionate about the intersection of business and sustainability. She believes brands can be profitable and sustainable, a conviction she has carefully nurtured through studies at McGill in Montreal, Columbia University in New York, and through her experience consulting on sustainability projects in Europe and the US. She approaches her work and her life with perspective, balance and care. When she’s not guiding brands towards a more sustainable future, she is practicing yoga, hiking with her elderly dog (in a small backpack), or exploring unknown parts of the city she currently lives in.

Amdad’s passion for numbers started in school where he was the top maths student. Now, he puts his numerical skills to good use Monday to Friday at Futerra, and on the weekends, fundraising with his local mosque for crisis-relief around the world.

April is passionate about crafting impactful and inspiring strategies to drive positive change in the world. As a proud ‘third-culture kid’, with experience in both non-profit and private sectors, she brings a unique perspective to tackling complex challenges and loves working with clients to create their own tailored roadmaps for enabling a sustainable future. Outside of the office, she can be found at the local farmers market, neighborhood restaurant, or walking Parm (her adorable beagle-mix) around Brooklyn.

Astrid Mäehans

Strategist
A true strategist, Astrid loves to deep dive into materiality, CO2 data, reports and the nitty gritty details. With a make it happen attitude she undertakes the biggest challenges and turns them into bold sustainability strategies. She also has a hidden talent for both computers and memes. Outside the office, you will most likely find her on skis or in climbing shoes depending on the season.

Cara has worked in beauty and fashion for over 10 years, developing her career in Global Marketing at Coty Inc. in both London and NYC. She’s also been a leader of innovation and activation at one of digital marketing’s fastest-growing agencies, managing activation for brands like Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Katy Perry. Cara was listed as one of The Drum’s leading women in digital marketing under 30.

Chloe Waite

Chloe uses her love of information and researching to bring top sustainability trends and insights to the team. Helping to unlock key insights for clients like L’Oreal, Danone and Econyl. Having grown up in the lush beauty of the Cotswolds Chloe believes strongly in the power of nature and that living more sustainably can be a regenerative and nourishing experience, out of hours you will find her at the farmers market or perusing the crystal shops in Covent garden.

Colwyn’s brand planning experience crosses categories and continents. Having worked in London, Tokyo, Amsterdam & Cape Town, Colwyn brings a truly global perspective whilst understanding the importance of local insight for cultural relevance. Over recent years Colwyn has focused on sustainability and social marketing working on advertising campaigns for Marks & Spencer Plan A, Teen Relationship Abuse and Fire Safety, as well as Government led initiatives in South Africa including 110% Green, Community Support for Education & Human Settlements. Emily joins Futerra with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Lafayette College, where she studied the intersection of environmental science and social issues. After graduating, she served as Chief of Staff at an ocean conservation non-profit. She then joined a social impact consulting group where she worked with non-profits, philanthropists, and corporations.

As a former sustainability manager at Sweden's largest second-hand chain, Emma not only excels in vintage hunting but also has a broad knowledge of sustainable fashion and a circular economy. She’s a master of the art of balancing pragmatic solutions with visionary possibilities. Emma is a rare mixture of strategist and performer that can make pretty much any sustainability topic feel magical.

Gabi Fountain

After dabbling in the law, Gabi realised she preferred to think more creatively. So she turned to design, and hasn’t looked back since! Being able to create beautiful, purposeful things that actually make a positive difference in the world feels like magic. When she’s not doing designery things, Gabi’s probably eating dumplings, stalking cats or trying to find a good time to call fam back home in Aus.

Gosia is an experienced business lead with a passion for building meaningful brands. Before joining Futerra she spent 16 years at Ogilvy New York leading integrated teams for an eclectic mix of blue chip clients. Leading the BP account at the time of  Gulf of Mexico crisis opened her eyes to the urgency and complexities of the climate change and of the importance of ethical business in building the future. She is thrilled to work with the like-minded team to support clients in driving positive change.

Guyang Chen-Ware

Guyang Chen-Ware is Futerra’s US “design guru,” helping bring our ideas to life with the power of design and her passion for purpose and sustainability. Prior to Futerra, she helped NRDC develop and launch a new brand identity, collaborated with the social impact agency Purpose, and did design for The Climate Group.  

Hannah Phang

Marketing & Advocacy Manager
Hannah brings her background in communications and human-centered design to Futerra as Marketing & Advocacy Manager. Here you can find her uncovering the latest trends for our sustainable fashion newsletter or developing Futerra’s thought leadership with partners such as the UN and BAFTA. Outside of the office she spends time in nature with her very large dog or creating plans to smash the patriarchy.

Harvey Coxell

Creative Director
Creative without emotional engagement is invisible, design without purpose is wallpaper. When not in the mountains, Harvey has spent 17 years striving to ruffle feathers and turn heads with design. From being immersed in global consumer brand communications to running his own start-up, Harvey brings his substantial depth and breadth of experience to Futerra. Armed too with a restless energy, an insatiable curiosity and a drive for originality.

Ian Gill

Sustainability Strategist
Ian’s background in science prepared him perfectly for navigating oceans of information to find key facts that build killer strategies. He might possibly be the only person to have read over 100 sustainability reports back in his university days, so if you need any tips on reporting, Ian’s your man.

Jerker Hellström Thorsell

As a jack of all trades within sustainability, Jerker is always searching for the heart of the matter, whether it be strategy, operations, HR, management, copywriting or something completely different. He is the critical friend always pushing clients forward and a funny Swede sometimes longing for the open seas.

Joel is one of the Stockholm office founders and runs the office together with Anna Högberg. Joel is an inspirer and provocateur who explores and crafts visions of a bright future at the crossroads of culture, technology and business. He has guided clients such as Skanska, H&M, Lindex and Baby Björn towards more successful sustainability. Joel joined Futerra in 2010, with a background in global labour rights activism and fashion PR strategy.

Kate Krupa

Kate’s the master of making things happen with her mix of “let’s get this done” and “let’s get this done right.” From strategy and creative to production, she orchestrates them all to magically come together to create brands and programs that influence the world we live in for the better. With a background in branding and an innate curiosity for the future, Kate has helped make great things happen for brands such as REI, Target, KPMG and Maybelline.

Kicki makes it happen! While working daily with managing projects and productions, Kicki keeps things structured and organised and is the friendly force that leads projects all the way to launch. She is a knitting enthusiast and has an extra loving eye for organic food, upcycling and her turquoise bike that gives her the ultimate feeling of freedom.

Lilian Liu

Strategist
Lilian builds bold sustainability plans to help companies deliver with impact, with clients ranging from innovative fashion start-ups, to tech, beauty and CPG companies with billions of customers. Previously, she advised business on the SDGs at UN Global Compact and worked with NGO Redress to minimize textile waste in the fashion industry in China. She has been named a Greenbiz 30 Under 30 sustainability leader in 2020.

Louise Wilson

A designer turned project manager, Louise is uniquely skilled at understanding business needs while challenging the creative brief. Sustainability runs through Louise’s blood – work, rest and play. And when she’s not busy delivering outstanding work for clients like FSC and Aldi, Louise tutors the Sustainable Design MA at Kingston University.

With an avid curiosity and critical eye, Malin is always looking for that little spark of an idea that has the potential to ignite change. A big part of her job is trying to figure out how other people experience the world and meeting them there. If she seems to have gone missing, check at the nearest thrift store.

Maria Starck

Planning & Advocacy Director
Maria is a campaigning, PR and communications expert with an in depth knowledge of the third sector. With her Chilean roots, she grew up fighting for indigenous rights and Mother Earth. Maria has also been advocating for food sovereignty as chair of Fian - Food First Action Network and as an activist. What makes her happiest nowadays is the growing momentum around protecting the Rights of Nature in Swedish law.

Mark and his team create the perfect environment for us to produce our best work. He’s led client projects for LEGO, SABMiller, Aldi and OVO Energy and believes in the power of creativity and collaboration when it comes to solving problems and finding breakthrough ideas.

Matt turns sustainability visions into action plans that work in the real world. Former sustainability director for Kingfisher/B&Q, he’s a seasoned pro at exploiting opportunities from sustainability. His guilty pleasure is motorsport, but Formula E has given him hope that he won’t be defending it for much longer.

Miguel Rojas

Miguel’s creative career has always been driven by the idea that at the core of good design is the ability to connect with others. He strives to use that connection to help better the world. Miguel has ten years of experience communicating with other humans, using his skills in art direction, design, and illustration. Before Futerra, Miguel was a designer at the Clinton Global Initiative and has freelanced for various non-profits, the New York Governor's office, and small businesses in NYC.  He loves art museums and food.

Nastasja Regis

Consultant
Nastasja came to the UK 5 years ago, to do a degree in Environment, Economics and Ecology and afterwards decided to do a Masters in Environment and Development at the London School of Economics. Other than being obsessed with sustainability, she is a HUGE foodie, always snacking and researching new places to eat, discovering new dishes & cuisines. Some of her favourite things are of course 100% Swiss: Cheese and chocolate!

With a background in Corporate Communications and Reporting, Nick brings his account management experience to the Futerra team. From technology to cosmetics, Nick wants to help brands put sustainability at the top of their priority list. When not at work you can find him out on his bike or trying a new recipe in his kitchen.

Nicole Alexander

Planner
Nicole sees the world with curious eyes and always seems to have a question on the tip of her tongue. Driven by a deep desire to understand what makes people tick combined with a fever-itch to travel the world, she is passionate about building sustainable brands for the future with clients like PepsiCo, Mondelez and RBC. Her desire for a better planet was solidified during her few years spent in the tropics of West Africa with the Peace Corps. She’s most likely to be found with a cup of coffee in her hand traversing Manhattan for the hippest restaurants and pop-ups around.

Noam Freshman

Planner
Noam’s expertise is in multidisciplinary analysis and strategic brand communications. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, a renowned liberal arts college whose students graduate fluent in an array of subjects from philosophy to physics. This broad foundation enables Noam to understand the complex problems organizations face in today’s interconnected world and quickly identify unconventional solutions. Noam is passionate about working for purpose-driven organizations—and inspiring change. 

Olly Lawder

Olly works where strategic thinking and creative magic meet, guiding clients like SAB Miller, Luxottica and GSK from brief to execution. He has a thespian background, so as well as creating outstanding campaigns, Olly’s services come with a complimentary side helping of Japanese haiku and dramatic pauses.

Peter Speight

Account Executive
Pete arrived at Futerra following a career in sport, representing GB in competitive halfpipe skiing for 10 years. He has an academic background in history and is now using his strong experience of project management and organisation to support brands aiming to put sustainability at their core. Pete believes in meeting challenges with positivity and is excited to work with brands that share this ambition.

Rachel Jones

Rachel loves the challenge of taking sustainability beyond the usual suspects. A scientific mind with an artist’s heart, she plans campaigns and produces film and photography that make the alternative desirable. Out of hours, you’ll find Rachel taking photographs, surfing the Welsh coast and eating chips.

With a background in languages, marketing and project management, and imbued with a love for travel and looking after Mother Earth, Rebecca enjoys coordinating projects that drive positive change on a global scale. With more than 15 years’ experience from large advertising agencies in Stockholm, Sara is a copywriter with a strategic approach that likes when things make sense and feel magical at the same time. With the alphabet as her weapon, she is now turning information into communication trying to get more people onboard the sustainability train. When not at her keyboard you’ll find Sara in her garden with her hands in the soil and her phone turned off.

Sasha Fox

Sasha brings her varied experience at big creative agencies, boutique PR agencies, and in-house CSR teams to running client projects at Futerra – from Tommy Hilfiger to the C&A Foundation. With a background in systems thinking from Forum for the Future’s School of Systems Change, Sasha brings some big picture thinking to sustainability challenges. At the weekend you’ll find her organising clothes swaps, running around South London parks and growing tomatoes.

As a former Marketing Director for the Swedish organic food brand Saltå Kvarn, Susanne understands both sustainability and client needs. She is a skilled project manager that thrives in a world full of big pictures and minute details.
